Ekiti truck driver takes N3.5m loan to campaign for Tinubu, others
An Ekiti State mini-truck driver, Adeleye Adeniyi, has disclosed that he borrowed ₦3.5 million to support the re-election campaigns of President Bola Tinubu and two other politicians.
According to PUNCH, Adeniyi, popularly known as “Online Loan Man for BAO”, revealed his decision in an interview circulating on Friday.
He displayed a cardboard cheque allocating ₦2 million to Tinubu, ₦1 million to Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele and ₦500,000 to Ekiti lawmaker Steve Fatoba.
Explaining his decision, Adeniyi said, “I am supporting Mr President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for his second-term ambition. I have borrowed money. I want to use this money to support him because he’s doing a very great job.”
The driver pledged to campaign for the politicians, citing their performance in office.
Adeniyi previously attracted attention in February 2026 after reportedly borrowing money through OPay to brand his vehicle in support of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election campaign.
He also praised the governor’s achievements in education and healthcare.
