El-Rufai files lawsuit against ICPC over alleged denial of family access
Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has filed a fresh N10 billion suit against the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), according to a report by The Nation, alleging the commission denied his wife and son access to him in custody.
The suit, filed by his lawyer, Ubong Akpan, names the ICPC chairman and Attorney-General as co-defendants. El-Rufai sought nine reliefs, including a declaration that the denial breached his constitutional rights to dignity and family life, and an order compelling ICPC to grant his family unhindered access throughout his detention.
