El-Rufai’s former aides, allies rejoin APC, endorse Uba Sani for 2027
Former aides and political allies of ex-Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai have returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to back Governor Uba Sani’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 elections. According to Daily Post, the politicians, who had earlier drifted from the APC, resolved to reunite and throw their weight behind Sani’s administration.
Their return is expected to strengthen the governor’s political structure as he seeks a second term. The development comes amid growing political realignments in Kaduna State ahead of 2027, with former El-Rufai loyalists taking divergent positions on the state’s political future. The group pledged to work together in support of Sani’s continuity bid.
