‘Everything is collapsing’: Go home, you lack energy to lead- Peter Obi hammers Tinubu (VIDEO)
Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called on President Bola Tinubu to leave office in 2027, accusing his administration of worsening Nigeria’s challenges.
According to TheCable, Obi spoke Monday during the inauguration of the NDC National Campaign Council in Abuja.
“Above all, President Tinubu does not have the energy and resolve required to lead Nigeria today, and he must go home.
“We need him to go home. Nigeria cannot be governed with the energy he has today. Nigeria needs a president who will be available and present.”
Obi criticised Tinubu’s handling of poverty, insecurity, unemployment and corruption, alleging that key development indicators had deteriorated.
He also questioned government borrowing and demanded accountability for spending under the 2023, 2024 and 2025 budgets.
The former Anambra governor accused Tinubu of blaming opposition parties for economic hardship instead of addressing Nigerians’ concerns.
Obi pledged to fight corruption and introduce reforms aimed at improving governance.
