FBI offers $5,000 reward for Nigerian woman who fled eight-year prison sentence over romance scam
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has announced a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Nigerian national Emuobosan Emmanuella Hall, 46, convicted of romance fraud.
According to the US Department of Justice, as reported by Peoples Gazette, Hall was indicted on October 23, 2026, for failing to report to prison to serve her eight-year sentence.
Hall, a US permanent resident, was sentenced in January after pleading guilty to fraud and money laundering conspiracies involving elderly victims.
She admitted responsibility for $851,207 in losses.
Authorities said her monitoring device stopped transmitting at Atlanta International Airport on March 24, a day before her scheduled surrender.
Airline records reportedly showed she never boarded her designated flight.
Her accomplice, Kenneth Akpieyi, received a 25-year prison sentence.
Hall faces an additional 10 years if convicted of failing to surrender.
The FBI urged anyone with information about her whereabouts to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or submit tips through its official website.
