Fiorentina sack Fabio Grosso after disastrous Serie A start
Fiorentina have sacked Fabio Grosso after just three Serie A matches following a disastrous start to the campaign. According to GOAL, the Italian club dismissed the former World Cup winner after three consecutive defeats left them bottom of the table.
Fiorentina began with a 4-0 loss at Roma before suffering a 3-0 home defeat against Frosinone and a 2-1 reverse to Torino, conceding nine goals in the process. The decision comes despite the club spending around €150 million on a major squad rebuild during the summer. Former coach Paolo Vanoli is reportedly among the leading candidates to replace Grosso.
