Fubara vows three million votes for Tinubu, backs Wike-led coalition
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has pledged at least three million votes for President Bola Tinubu in 2027 and vowed to deliver the APC-PDP Rainbow Coalition’s candidates in the state, The Punch reported.
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has pledged to mobilise at least three million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election, The Punch reported.
Fubara spoke on Saturday at Tinubu’s campaign rally at Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt.
He said the mobilisation would be led by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, who heads the APC-PDP Rainbow Coalition in Rivers.
“Under your guidance and direction, under the guidance and direction of our leader, the coordinator of the presidential campaign council for Rivers State, the Honourable Minister, we will campaign, mobilise our people to secure and deliver a decisive victory with a vote not less than three million for Mr President,” the governor said.
“We want to assure you that our slate will be delivered come January 2027, Mr President,” he added.
The coalition backs Tinubu while supporting a common slate of APC and PDP candidates, including APC’s Kingsley Chinda for governor.
The arrangement followed Fubara’s reconciliation with Wike after a political crisis.
