Nigerian motorists may soon pay less for petrol following Dangote Refinery’s decision to reduce its gantry price to ₦1,215 per litre.
According to Daily Post, the refinery reduced its price from ₦1,250, representing a ₦35 decrease per litre.
Filling station managers at Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) and MRS outlets confirmed that pump prices could decline in the coming days.
“Our fuel price is expected to drop from this week following Dangote Refinery’s petrol price cut,” an NNPCL manager in Abuja said.
President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Abubakar Maigandi, also confirmed the anticipated reduction.
“Our members would cut fuel prices as soon as we receive Dangote Refinery’s petrol from this week,” he said.

The anticipated reduction follows declining global crude oil prices, offering potential relief to Nigerians facing high transportation and living expenses. Daily Post Nigeria
