Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has announced plans to independently transmit polling unit results to his campaign situation room during the 2027 election.

According to Arise TV, as reported by Tribune, Obi said the system would complement the Independent National Electoral Commission’s official transmission platform and enable his team to monitor results. “We must make sure that at every polling unit, the votes are counted, the votes are recorded properly, the votes are transmitted properly,” he said.

Obi stressed that the initiative would help ensure announced results could be traced to figures recorded at polling units.
