Rodri apologises to Valencia after ‘really weak’ comments caught on camera

Barcelona midfielder Rodri has apologised to Valencia captain Jose Gaya and the club’s squad after appearing to describe the team as “really weak” during Sunday’s 5-0 La Liga victory. According to TNT Sports, Spanish broadcaster Movistar claimed to have lip-read Rodri making the comments while speaking to teammates Pau Cubarsi and Raphinha on the bench.

Rodri insisted the remarks were taken out of context and said they were simply an expression of surprise, not an attempt to mock Valencia. The midfielder stressed his respect for the struggling club and apologised for any offence caused.
