How Iran ‘plotted to kill Trump with sniper, shoot down his plane’
Israel repeatedly warned the United States that Iran was allegedly planning to assassinate President Donald Trump, according to sources cited by Daily Mail.
The warnings, reportedly shared with US intelligence agencies and senior White House officials, included possible sniper and knife attacks, as well as an alleged plan involving a shoulder-launched missile during Trump’s travel to a NATO summit in Ankara.
However, the CIA was unable to corroborate some of the specific threats, while Turkish intelligence reportedly found no evidence supporting the Ankara warning.
Despite the lack of verification, US officials and the Secret Service reportedly took precautionary measures, including moving Trump to another aircraft during his Turkey trip.
