How single mother recovered N1.64m mistakenly sent to Jerry Eze’s church

A single mother of two, Sandra Okpara, has recovered N1,640,200 she mistakenly transferred to an account linked to Pastor Jerry Eze’s Streams of Joy International, according to Tribune.

Okpara said she mistakenly selected the church’s Zenith Bank account while attempting to transfer the money, which she said belonged to other people. After unsuccessful attempts through her banks, she posted an appeal on social media seeking help to recover the funds.

The church said it contacted Okpara after seeing her viral appeal and investigated the transaction before refunding the money on Saturday. Okpara confirmed receiving the full amount, adding that her decision to publicise the matter was not intended to damage the church’s reputation.
