Russia hits Ukraine’s intelligence headquarters…
Ukraine’s SBU intelligence headquarters was hit in a Russian drone attack on Friday, sending black smoke rising over central Kyiv in what officials called a “major escalation.”
As reported by The Guardian, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said he had instructed the SBU to deliver an “appropriate, tangible response,” while Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha urged international partners to condemn the attack and increase pressure on Moscow.
At least nine people were injured, according to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, with the strike shattering windows at a nearby café.
Meanwhile, the attack comes just two days ahead of a planned Kyiv visit by US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, further underscoring the fragile state of stalled US-led efforts to end Russia’s four-and-a-half-year invasion.
