Ibadan Mogajis fault colleague over endorsement of Makinde, Adekanmbi

The rejection followed a viral video purportedly showing Makinde endorsed for president and Adekanmbi for Oyo State governor, according to The Nation.

In a joint statement, President of Ibadan Mogajis Asimiyu Ariori and ICPI Coordinator Nurudeen Akinade said the office of Mogaji should not be subjected to partisan politics, stressing that over 200 Mogajis at a meeting in Ojaba agreed they serve as fathers to all, regardless of political affiliation.

The leaders said they remained bound by the position of the Olubadan and warned against internal group formations that could undermine Ibadanland’s traditional institution.
