Tottenham’s winless and goalless start continues after Everton draw
Tottenham Hotspur’s difficult start to the Premier League season continued on Saturday as Roberto De Zerbi’s side were held to a goalless draw by Everton, extending their winless and goalless run to four league matches. According to the Evening Standard report, Spurs struggled to turn a promising opening into clear-cut chances despite enjoying bright spells in north London.
Everton had opportunities to snatch victory after the break, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Brennan Johnson both missing chances. The result leaves Tottenham 17th with just two points from their opening four matches, piling further pressure on De Zerbi after a summer in which the club spent more than £380 million on 10 new signings.
Everton, meanwhile, remain unbeaten and have collected three draws so far this season. Full-time boos at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium underlined the growing frustration among the home supporters as Spurs continue their search for both a first win and their first league goal.
