ICE detains right-wing provocateur Milo Yiannopoulos

Controversial British figure Milo Yiannopoulos has been detained by immigration authorities in the United States. According to CNN, the Department of Homeland Security said Yiannopoulos was arrested Thursday at a Louisiana airport and remained in custody as of Friday afternoon.

CNN reports he legally entered the US in 2019 but overstayed, and was issued a final removal order by an immigration judge on July 22 after missing his hearing.

DHS said he will remain in ICE custody pending removal. Yiannopoulos rose to prominence as a right-wing commentator known for controversial campus appearances and remarks.
