VeryDarkMan dons wig, gown, declares ‘I’ve been called to bar’ after NBA controversy

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has responded to criticism over his Nigerian Bar Association conference appearance with a satirical Instagram video showing him in full lawyer regalia — wig, gown and white neck tabs — staging a mock courtroom scene in which he declared himself “called to bar.”

As reported by Tribune, the roughly three-and-a-half-minute clip posted Friday saw VeryDarkMan address his detractors directly, saying: “I’ve been called to bar. So now, you are now my learned colleagues.”

Citing “section 343 of the VDM constitution,” he insisted he was “the most qualified” panelist at the conference given the insecurity topic discussed, mocking critics who questioned his presence. “If I may, my lords, since you people decided to ignore all the points I raised about insecurity, you decided to distract yourself by judging me and saying I was not fit to be there because I’m not a lawyer,” he said.

Two other men appeared in the skit as his “learned friends” in the comedic courtroom performance.
