Igboho declares support for Osun Accord’s Reps candidate, Olajengbesi

Yoruba Nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has declared his support for Pelumi Olajengbesi, the Accord Party’s House of Representatives candidate for Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in Osun State, ahead of the 2027 election, according to a report by PUNCH.

Igboho made the declaration when Olajengbesi visited his Ibadan residence, recalling how the lawyer represented him free of charge after the Buhari administration raided his home in July 2021, forcing him to flee to Benin Republic, where he was detained. Igboho also credited Olajengbesi for assisting him when authorities threatened to arrest him over his mother’s burial.

“It’s important to have a change in representation in the constituency. Pelumi is a breath of fresh air,” Igboho said, urging support for his ally.

Olajengbesi, who served as campaign spokesperson for Governor Ademola Adeleke’s re-election, is expected to challenge incumbent APC lawmaker Wole Oke for the seat in 2027.
