Independent Football Regulator gives expected timeline for Manchester City appeal verdict
Manchester City’s appeal against findings that they breached over 100 Premier League financial regulations could be resolved early next year, according to Independent Football Regulator chairman David Kogan, as reported by Daily Cannon.
Kogan stated that the Premier League aims to conclude the case during the current season under a prescribed 12-week appeal process, setting a potential hearing deadline around December 18 with a verdict expected by mid-to-late January.
Following the appeal outcome, a separate hearing may determine sanctions if City’s appeal fails, while the regulator will assess whether club executives or owners, including Sheikh Mansour, face disqualification under fitness and propriety rules.
Kogan firmly dismissed concerns regarding government influence over the proceedings, maintaining that decisions will rely strictly on evidence and independent investigations.
