Investigation says Anthony Kila falsified Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD degrees
Suspended Michael and Cecilia Ibru University Pro-Chancellor Anthony Kila has been accused of falsifying several academic qualifications he claimed to have obtained from universities in the United Kingdom and Italy.
According to a PREMIUM TIMES investigation, universities contacted by the newspaper either disowned Kila’s claimed credentials or said they never offered the programmes he listed.
Aston University said: “There is no record in Aston University’s student registry of an Anthony Kila studying for an MBA.”
City St George’s University of London said Kila enrolled in a Banking and International Finance programme in 2000 but was deregistered in 2001 without completing it.
The University of Essex also said it had never offered the Postgraduate Diploma in Media and Communication Kila claimed to have obtained.

Responding to the findings, Kila said: “I am currently putting together my academic and professional documents, and they will be ready soon.”
