‘It’s not true’ — Ogogo’s daughter Kira debunks false report that she gave birth amid family’s grief

Kira Taiwo, daughter of late Nollywood veteran Taiwo Hassan — Ogogo — has publicly denied circulating reports that she gave birth while her family mourns her father’s death, describing the information as entirely false.

In a disclaimer posted on her Instagram Story and reposted by her sister Lima, as reported by The Nation, the family stated: “Please disregard the information currently circulating that my sister has given birth. This is not true. We have been receiving several calls and messages from friends and family asking about it, so we felt the need to clarify publicly.”

The family appealed for understanding and privacy during their grieving period. “At a time when our family is mourning the loss of our father, we kindly ask everyone to stop spreading or sharing unverified information about our family,” the statement read.

Ogogo died on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at the age of 66 after battling stage-four cancer.
