JAMB publishes underage candidates’ UTME results

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has released the 2026 UTME results of underage candidates, though it clarified that this does not automatically confer admission eligibility, according to Daily Post Nigeria. JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin said only candidates below 16 years as of September 30, 2026, who meet stringent requirements would be considered for exceptional admission.

Qualifying candidates need a minimum UTME score of 320 and 80 percent in relevant SSCE subjects. Benjamin said the assessment process remains ongoing, pending release of NECO results, after which a final verification stage would be scheduled. He urged parents and candidates to avoid unauthorised persons claiming to secure admission outside the prescribed process.
