Obi ‘dropped money’ for Ekiti delegates in 2023, Lere Olayinka dismisses ‘I don’t give shishi’ claims

An aide to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, Lere Olayinka, has alleged that Peter Obi gave money to party delegates during the 2023 elections.

Speaking on AIT’s Democracy Today, Olayinka dismissed claims that the NDC presidential candidate does not spend money on political campaigns.

According to Daily Post, he said he was a delegate in Ekiti State when Obi was still in the Peoples Democratic Party and witnessed him “drop money” for delegates. Olayinka, who contested for the House of Representatives in 2023, argued that politicians spend money to secure electoral victories, describing politics as both business and service. Obi’s camp was not quoted as responding to the allegation.
