Joga Bonito returns: Ronaldinho confirms comeback date at 46 for Serie C derby
Brazilian icon Ronaldinho is set to return to professional football after Italian third-tier side Ravenna confirmed he will make his competitive debut on November 15 against local rivals Forlì.
According to a report by GOAL, the 46-year-old 2005 Ballon d’Or winner will take to the pitch at the Stadio Bruno Benelli, marking his first competitive appearance since departing Fluminense in 2015.
The 2002 World Cup champion signed for Ravenna in June and was unveiled to supporters in August, but has yet to feature in a official match.
Ravenna, currently sitting second in their Serie C group, hailed the occasion as “the return of the magic,” with club president Ignazio Cipriani aiming to see the former Barcelona and AC Milan star finish his legendary career in yellow-and-red colors.
