Journalist arrested in Turkey for fake transfer news story
Turkish journalist Burhan Can Terzi was detained after reporting that Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala was set to join Galatasaray. According to Marca, Terzi was investigated for allegedly spreading misleading information after Galatasaray publicly denied the transfer claim.
The reporter reportedly maintained that his sources were reliable despite the club’s denials. Terzi was taken to Istanbul police headquarters to provide a statement before being released following judicial proceedings. Musiala remains under contract with Bayern Munich until 2030, with no agreement for a move to the Turkish champions reported.
