Trump signs order to cut, space out childhood vaccines
President Donald Trump has signed an executive order reducing recommended childhood vaccines and spacing out immunisation schedules, a major win for Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
According to Daily Wire, the order, “Gold Standard Childhood Vaccine Recommendations,” cuts routinely recommended childhood vaccines from 18 to 11 diseases and calls for splitting the MMR vaccine into three separate shots.
Trump said the changes would give parents more control, linking them to concerns over autism despite lacking scientific evidence. HHS has 90 days to develop new guidelines. Senator Bill Cassidy criticised the move, insisting vaccines are safe and do not cause autism.
