Juventus forgo Martinez and agrees loan deal for Tottenham’s Guglielmo Vicario
Juventus have reportedly reached an agreement with Tottenham for goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, ending their pursuit of Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez. According to Football Italia, the Italy international will join Juventus on loan with an option to buy in a deal worth around €10.5 million.
Vicario is expected to travel to Turin for a medical before completing the move. Juventus reportedly abandoned talks for Martinez after Villa maintained their €15 million valuation, while concerns over the Argentine’s hand injury also influenced their decision. The move would see Vicario return to Serie A after leaving Italy for Tottenham.
