Kenya prostitutes blame Trump for rise in HIV-positive prostitutes in Kenya
Kenyan prostitutes are blaming President Trump for the rise in HIV-positive prostitutes in Kenya after USAID cuts.
In 2025, US taxpayer dollars stopped funding Kenyan hookers, thanks to President Trump.
“It’s really sad, really, really sad. Due to Trump, things that happened during that season, my friend had no access to the medication. She was HIV positive,” said one prostitute.
“Please, if he can change his mind… if something can happen. People are dying.”
NGO program coordinator Daisy Kwala says the entire community is at risk now.
“Now the sx worker is not able to access commodities; they are not able to get condoms. They are not able to get their HIV medication, and they are still selling sx … This puts the entire community at increased risk, especially for the new HIV infection.”
Has anyone thought that maybe they should stop selling themselves for s*x?
