Kwara police arrest suspected kidnapper cashing ransom at POS point
Kwara State Police have arrested a suspect, Muhamodu Sanni, while allegedly attempting to withdraw ransom proceeds at a Point-of-Sale terminal, according to Tribune Online.
Police Public Relations Officer Toun Ejure-Adeyemi said the arrest followed investigation into the July 28 armed abduction of three people in Obudu Village, Ilorin East.
Tracking financial and communication channels linked to the kidnapping syndicate led operatives to Sanni, who reportedly cooperated during interrogation, disclosing the identities of two other suspects, Aminu and Umar. Police say they are pursuing further leads to dismantle the network.
