Leeds, Rangers co-owner Jed York convicted over prostitution charges

Leeds United and Rangers co-owner Jed York has been jailed in Ohio after pleading no contest to charges of disorderly conduct and possessing criminal tools, following his arrest in a prostitution sting.

According to Nigerian Tribune, the 45-year-old, who also owns the San Francisco 49ers, was sentenced to one day in jail on each count, running concurrently, with credit for time served. Court documents allege York arranged to pay $140 for sexual activity after responding to an advertisement placed by an Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force. He was fined $150 and $1,000 respectively. Rangers and Leeds declined to comment.
