Madueke and Gyokeres fire Arsenal to Champions League victory over Slavia Prague
Arsenal continued their impressive Champions League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague away from home on Wednesday, extending their unbeaten run in the competition.
According to the Daily Mail, Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres scored in the first half to secure all three points for Mikel Arteta’s side. Madueke opened the scoring in the ninth minute after benefiting from an excellent flick-on by Gyokeres, who subsequently doubled Arsenal’s advantage in the 38th minute with a curling finish following a combination with Declan Rice.
The Swedish striker’s performance was particularly encouraging for Arteta, having registered two goals and three assists in his previous five appearances. Slavia Prague threatened a late comeback when Wiktor Nowak pulled one back in the 89th minute, but Arsenal held on.
The victory extended Arsenal’s unbeaten away run in the Champions League to 10 matches, stretching back to May 2025.
