Arsenal maintained their impressive Champions League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Slavia Prague on Wednesday. Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres scored in the first half to put Mikel Arteta’s side in control, but Wiktor Nowak’s late strike made for an uncomfortable finish.

While the Gunners struggled to maintain their intensity after the break, several individuals delivered impressive performances, with Gyokeres leading the way after an outstanding display.

Arsenal player ratings vs Slavia Prague

David Raya – 7/10

Had relatively little to do for much of the evening but produced an excellent fingertip save late on. Could do little to prevent Slavia’s goal.

Ben White – 7/10

Provided excellent attacking support on the right and created a promising opportunity for Merino. Defensively solid before becoming less convincing after the interval.

Ezri Konsa – 6/10

Generally composed at the back and made an important block to deny Ayaosi. However, a needless challenge earned him a booking.

Gabriel – 8/10

Produced two outstanding goal-line interventions within seconds to preserve Arsenal’s advantage. Also threatened at the opposite end with a close-range effort.

Piero Hincapie – 7/10

Looked considerably sharper than in previous outings, offering an attacking outlet down the left. His forward runs helped create opportunities for Eze.

Declan Rice – 7/10

Used his physicality and energy to disrupt Slavia’s attacks while driving Arsenal forward. His influence diminished slightly as fatigue became apparent.

Martin Zubimendi – 8/10

Delivered an impressive midfield performance, winning eight of his 10 duels. His passing, movement and composure helped Arsenal control proceedings.

Noni Madueke – 8/10

Opened the scoring with a composed finish and repeatedly troubled Slavia’s defence with his pace, dribbling and direct attacking approach.

Mikel Merino – 6/10

Combined effectively with Gyokeres for Arsenal’s second goal but wasted two promising opportunities in the first half. A mixed attacking performance.

Eberechi Eze – 7/10

Showed his technical quality with several excellent dribbles and clever movements. Constantly unsettled Slavia’s defenders and came close to scoring.

Viktor Gyokeres – 9/10

Delivered his most convincing Arsenal performance yet, setting up Madueke before scoring a superb curling effort. His movement, link-up play and confidence stood out.

Substitutes

Cristhian Mosquera – 5/10

Struggled to deal with the late pressure and was caught out during the move that exposed Arsenal before Slavia’s goal.

Christos Tzolis – 6/10

Offered some attacking energy after coming on, frequently moving into central positions, although he could have been more decisive in dangerous areas.

Jurrien Timber – 5/10

Had an opportunity to score with a lobbed effort but was unable to find the target. Also struggled to defend the near post for Slavia’s goal.

Martin Odegaard – 7/10

Brought renewed energy and urgency to Arsenal’s midfield, attempting to restore control as the hosts pushed for an equaliser.

Max Dowman – N/A

Introduced in stoppage time, leaving insufficient time to make a meaningful impact.
