Man City CEO Ferran Soriano accuses Premier League of ‘conspiracy’ after guilty verdict

Manchester City CEO Ferran Soriano has rejected the club’s guilty verdict and accused the Premier League case of being built around a “single false accusation.” According to HAYTERS, in a message to staff, Soriano insisted City had provided bank statements, money transfers and witness evidence to prove that the owner’s personal funds were not secretly channelled into the club through Abu Dhabi sponsors.

He described the independent commission’s findings as a “Premier League conspiracy theory” and claimed evidence presented by City had been ignored. Soriano also confirmed that the club’s lawyers will appeal, arguing the verdict contains “material errors” of law, principle and fact.
