Man United Muslim supporters demand new owners after Ratcliffe comments
Manchester United Muslim Supporters Club has called for a change in the club’s ownership after criticising co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s recent comments on immigration, taxes and welfare. According to PUNCH, the supporters’ group said it had lost confidence in the club’s current leadership and described Ratcliffe’s latest remarks as “deeply disappointing and completely unacceptable”.
The group had previously criticised comments Ratcliffe made about immigration in February, for which he later apologised. MUMSC also raised concerns over ticket prices, Old Trafford’s condition and the team’s performances, calling on both Ratcliffe and the Glazer family to leave the club.
