Manchester City agree €100m deal for Morocco wonderkid Ayyoub Bouaddi
Manchester City have reached an agreement with Lille to sign highly rated Morocco midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi for an initial €95 million, plus €5 million in potential add-ons. The Athletic, through football correspondent David Ornstein, reports that the 18-year-old will sign a contract with City until 2031, with an option for another year.
Bouaddi impressed at the 2026 World Cup, starting five of Morocco’s six matches as they reached the quarter-finals. He made 42 appearances for Lille last season and became the club’s youngest-ever player when he debuted aged 16. The move follows Rodri’s departure to Barcelona and further midfield changes at the Etihad.
