Manchester United complete signing of 17-year-old Man City Midfielder Karim Cassim

Manchester United have completed the signing of 17-year-old midfielder Karim Cassim from Manchester City after the Premier League ratified the academy transfer. According to The Athletic, Cassim had been expected to join United and can now represent Darren Fletcher’s Under-18 side.

The England youth international is regarded within United as an energetic box-to-box midfielder with the potential to progress towards the first team. His arrival is part of an increased focus on youth recruitment at Carrington.

United are also close to signing City midfielder David Eze and Liverpool winger Isaac Konde, both aged 16, while preparing a professional contract for academy winger Noah Ajayi.
