Mary Habila’s family finally discloses cause of death at Umahi’s home

The family of Mary Habila, the nurse who died at the residence of Works Minister David Umahi in June, has publicly revealed her cause of death for the first time.

According to Premium Times Nigeria, the family said in a tribute published in her burial brochure that Habila had a pre-existing heart condition, a hole in her heart, and died of cardiac arrest.

She was buried in Nok, Kaduna State, on August 21, without an autopsy, which the family had opposed despite calls from Nigerians and the police for one. The family did not explain how they determined the cause.
