Michael Carrick provides Mason Mount injury update after early PSG exit
Manchester United manager Michael Carrick has played down concerns over Mason Mount’s fitness after the midfielder was forced off early in Saturday’s 1-1 pre-season draw with Paris Saint-Germain. According to GOAL.com, Mount lasted less than 20 minutes before being replaced by Tyler Fletcher after taking a knock.
Carrick said the England international “got kicked” and was withdrawn as a precaution, adding that United wanted to “be careful and look after him.” Mount has endured persistent injury problems since joining United from Chelsea in 2023, making only 25 Premier League starts from a possible 114.
