Missing Nigerian woman found in Qatar hospital—Family

A 37-year-old Nigerian woman, Saratu Jibo Yusuf, who had been declared missing for days after arriving in Doha, Qatar, has been located in a hospital in the country, her family has said, according to a report by Punch.

Yusuf travelled from Lagos to Doha aboard Qatar Airways flight QR1408 on September 1 and lost contact with her family shortly after landing, sparking days of anxious searching. Her brother, Jonathan Jibo, had raised the alarm on social media after 48 hours passed without communication, noting it was her first trip abroad and that she had no known contacts in Qatar.

Airline CCTV footage had earlier confirmed she collected her luggage and exited the airport terminal, though her whereabouts afterward remained unknown for days, prompting concerns about possible trafficking. The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority had been assisting the family in tracking her movements before she was found.

The family expressed relief following the development and thanked authorities and members of the public who supported the search.
