Murray-Bruce to Tinubu: Nigeria needs more ‘mad men’ in government
Former Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has urged President Bola Tinubu to appoint more “mad men” willing to challenge entrenched interests and deliver results in government.
According to Vanguard, Murray-Bruce said Nigeria needs officials prepared to confront broken systems, reject mediocrity and risk unpopularity to achieve results.
He cited CBN Governor Olayemi Cardoso and National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu as examples.
Murray-Bruce also urged Tinubu to find similarly determined officials to revive Nigeria’s government-owned refineries and increase crude oil production towards the administration’s four-million-barrel-per-day target by 2030, while strengthening Nigeria’s position as an African refining powerhouse.
