NDLEA arrests 101-year-old woman for alleged drug dealing

Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested a 101-year-old woman, Esther Ogunmabo, for alleged drug dealing in Ilisan, Ogun State.

The agency said in a statement on Sunday that Ogunmabo was arrested on August 15 with 90 grammes of skunk, which she reportedly admitted selling in retail quantities.

She told operatives she turned to drug dealing after her provisions shop was destroyed by fire and alleged that her daughter supplied her with cannabis every four days.

The Peoples Gazette reports that NDLEA Chairman Mohamed Buba Marwa directed that Ogunmabo be granted bail and undergo counselling due to her advanced age.
