Sydney Sweeney is reportedly related to the late Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe, Daily Mail reports, citing Entertainment Weekly. The Euphoria star, 29, is linked to Monroe through a study by MyHeritage, which connected Sweeney’s father, Steven Sweeney, to Monroe’s biological father, Charles Stanley Gifford. The two men share an ancestor, Ezra Perry, who lived in Massachusetts in the 1600s.

Sweeney has never acknowledged any ties to Monroe, though she has often channelled the Some Like It Hot actress on the red carpet. In February, she wore a cream Ceil Chapman dress previously worn by Monroe on the cover of Life magazine in 1952 to the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. She also appeared to channel Monroe at the premiere of The Housemaid last December in a plunging white gown.

Monroe would have turned 100 on June 1. She died on August 4, 1962. The Academy Museum in Los Angeles is marking her centenary with an exhibit, Marilyn Monroe: Hollywood Icon.
