NFF sacks Super Falcons Technical Crew after World Cup miss

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has ordered the Super Falcons’ technical crew to step down with immediate effect following the team’s failure to qualify automatically for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup. The decision was announced by the NFF Executive Committee on Monday, although no specific reason was given.

According to PUNCH, the directive follows Nigeria’s disappointing WAFCON campaign, which ended with a quarter-final defeat to eventual champions Cameroon. The Falcons subsequently lost their World Cup playoff against South Africa, further complicating their qualification hopes.
