Aiyedatiwa Orders Sustained Search After Air Force Crash

Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has ordered a sustained search for the remains of victims and wreckage following a Nigerian Air Force aircraft crash at Igbokoda. Aiyedatiwa visited the crash site on Wednesday and described the incident as a national tragedy. He directed relevant agencies to continue search operations until the victims and aircraft debris are recovered.


FG Plans Formal Reconciliation Over Asaba Massacre

The Federal Government is set to make a formal reconciliation declaration over the 1967 Asaba Massacre, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has disclosed. The governor, represented by Secretary to the State Government Kingsley Emu, made the disclosure during Wednesday’s memorial anniversary in Asaba. The massacre occurred during the Nigerian Civil War, with hundreds reportedly killed.


AAU Lecturer Dies After Hotel Incident

A senior lecturer at Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Dr Matthew Uwuigbe, has died after reportedly collapsing in a hotel room following a sexual encounter with a 21-year-old woman identified as Angela Defa Jacob. The incident occurred on Sunday at a hotel in Ekpoma, Edo State. Uwuigbe reportedly checked into the hotel with the woman before collapsing shortly afterwards.


Umahi Says Tinubu Has Done More For South-East

Minister of Works Dave Umahi has said President Bola Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated greater commitment to developing the South-East than previous governments. Umahi made the claim at a news conference in Abuja on Wednesday, citing ongoing Federal Government infrastructure projects across the region and other parts of the country as evidence of the administration’s commitment.

ADC Members Defect To APC In Kebbi

Members of the Action Democratic Congress Legacy Group in Kebbi State have defected to the All Progressives Congress. The defectors include the party’s House of Representatives candidate and two State House of Assembly candidates. Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris formally received them into the APC on Wednesday at the Government House in Birnin Kebbi.

NYSC Members, Civilian Rescued After Imo Abduction

Twenty prospective National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members and a civilian abducted in Imo State have been rescued by joint security forces.
