Elon Musk returns to White House as Trump makes presidential first

President Donald Trump is set to award Elon Musk and other leading American innovators the nation’s highest honours for scientific and technological achievement on Thursday, Fox News reports. It will be the first time Trump has presented the awards. He will give the National Medal of Science to Musk, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and AMD CEO Lisa Su, while Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell and Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella will receive the National Medal of Technology and Innovation.

White House spokesperson Liz Huston told Fox News Digital, “The Trump Administration is grateful for the contributions of these incredible leaders in science and technology. These recipients are helping ensure America keeps leading the world in innovation.” The honorees will be recognised at the White House’s “Science: A New Golden Age Summit.”

Musk’s expected award marks his latest return to Trump’s orbit after he left the administration and later publicly fell out with the president last year.
