Suspected Boko Haram terrorists have invaded Bitirhuya community in Hong Local Government Area of Adamawa State, killing four residents and setting many houses ablaze. The attack comes barely a week after the terrorists killed 12 people in Nzangola village, Gombi Local Government Area of the state.
ADC Faults INEC Over Use Of “Partisan Lecturers” As Election Officers
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to review its use of “partisan lecturers” as returning and collation officers in the 2027 elections. The call follows a report that more than 600 senior lecturers from public universities in the North endorsed President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 presidential election.
Gunmen Kill Nine Passengers In Plateau Bus Attack
No fewer than nine passengers were killed when gunmen opened fire on a commercial bus at Dungus Junction in Kuru community, Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State. Residents said the incident occurred as the driver stopped to drop off passengers at the junction.

The Osun State Police Command says it has recovered another corpse from the Mayfair Motor Park in Ile-Ife, bringing to two the number killed in the shooting there. Meanwhile, Olalekan Oyeyemi, an Accord Party chieftain, was buried at his residence in Agunbelewo, Osogbo, in line with tradition.
Anambra Police Arrest Woman For Injuring Daughter With Hot Knife
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested Ogechi Ofoma, 32, for allegedly injuring her seven-year-old daughter, Oluebube, in Ibollo community, Awada-Obosi, Idemili North. The child was allegedly burned with a hot knife after being accused of taking meat from a pot.
