NSC suspends NFF election, appoints interim leadership

The National Sports Commission (NSC) has suspended the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) September 27 elective congress and appointed interim officials to oversee the federation’s affairs. According to BusinessDay, Dr Emmanuel Ikpeme has been named acting NFF general secretary, while former media director Dr Ademola Olajire will serve as acting deputy general secretary.

The move follows the resignation of NFF president Ibrahim Gusau, general secretary Mohammed Sanusi and executive committee members. The NSC said a new electoral process will begin after comprehensive reforms conducted with FIFA, CAF and other stakeholders.
