‘Obi is clueless, spectacular failure as governor’ — Onanuga

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, has described the Nigeria Democratic Congress presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as “overhyped” and “overrated,” Vanguard reports.

Onanuga made the remarks on Saturday in a post on his verified X handle, describing Obi as “clueless” and alleging that he was a “spectacular failure” during his eight years as Anambra State governor.

He questioned Obi’s suitability for the presidency, saying governance could not be achieved through magic. Onanuga also accused the former Labour Party candidate of frequently changing his positions and allowing social media supporters to dictate his worldview. Obi is challenging Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
