Obi opens global town hall…
ABUJA — Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has announced a virtual “A New Nigeria Global Digital Townhall” to engage citizens at home and abroad on vote protection and political strategy ahead of the 2027 elections.
Scheduled for Sunday, October 4, the session aims to directly address core public concerns regarding electoral integrity. Obi noted that two primary questions continuously arise during his public engagements: how votes will be protected in 2027 and how the movement will pursue victory.
“These are fair questions, and you deserve direct answers,” Obi stated. Stressing the collaborative nature of the initiative, he added, “But this is not only about speaking to you. It is about listening to you. I want to hear your concerns, your insights and your strategies.”
According to The Guardian, the town hall will hold at 7:00 PM WAT, placing grassroots participation and voter vigilance at the center of his campaign’s strategy. Obi reaffirmed the movement’s core message, declaring, “A New Nigeria is POSSIBLE.”
