Odogwu of Asaba’s wife denies rape allegation, says husband only had affair with 20-year-old late Favour

The wife of arrested Delta State content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna — known as Odogwu of Asaba — has publicly defended her husband against rape allegations, acknowledging he had an affair with deceased 20-year-old Favour Agbro but insisting he did not rape or kill her.

Speaking in a video uploaded to her husband’s page on Wednesday, as reported by The Punch, the woman — married to Ogbonna for eight years with four children — said: “Odogwu Asaba did not rape Favour. Odogwu Asaba only had an affair with the girl.”

She added: “Social media is not a courtroom. You people should bear that in mind,” while pledging to stand by her husband “100 per cent.”

The Delta State Police Command arrested Ogbonna after alleging he invited Favour to Asaba under the guise of content creation training before allegedly raping and assaulting her at a hotel. Favour subsequently ingested a toxic substance and died. Ogbonna has not been convicted and investigations are ongoing.
